For the first time in a long time I decided to take a relaxing walk during lunch. No running errands or just grabbing food and heading back to the confines of my work man-cave. Instead I took a stroll to 5th avenue and checked out the Uniqlo store. I have been meaning to do so every weekend but then responsibility and life got in the way and nixed that idea. Uniqlo offers a variety of clothing options but I mainly go there for the T-shirts. I had my eye on their limited edition Peanuts tees as well as their Beatles inspired collection. So while I had intended eventually to get a shirt from each collection, I was seduced by the dulcet tones of the clothing to get it now. Talk about curbing my impulse shopping gene.
Now as I type this outside the CBS offices, I hear the sounds of birds chirping, see people walking to and fro, smell yummy street meat being cooked to order and feel the vibes of Spring in the air. I wish it were like this every day in New York. Then again, maybe it is but I need to stop and listen, feel, hear and smell it.
