Monet at New York Botanical Garden

On Thursday I took Metro-North up to the New York Botanical Garden to see the Monet exhibit before it finishes on October 21st. Going on a weekday afternoon is a perfect time because you basically have the place to yourself. Compounded with the chill in the air, it was perfect. We walked the grounds and enjoyed the freedom to appreciate the beauty of the Botanical Garden without dealing with the crazy lines or hustle and bustle that groups of people can bring to any place. The exhibit itself transformed the Haupt Pavilion into Givery, France. The exhibit also includes two Monet pieces at the library but those were off limits to photography. So, at the Haupt Pavilion, we had a chance to enjoy the flowers and the landscaping as if we were in France in the late 1800s early 1900s. Amazing exhibit. Highly recommended.
